Fixture jam

With their UEFA Cup commitments Boro have only one free week before the end of the Premier League season on Sunday 7th May. This will be used to play the previously postponed game at Bolton.

But, if Boro progress to the FA Cup semi-finals, the match against Manchester United which is scheduled for Sunday 23rd will be postponed, with no obvious date to rearrange it.

So, if Boro decided not to move back the Everton game on Saturady 30th April they can play two league games during the week, and end up playing five games in the last eleven days season.

Starting with the UEFA Cup semi-final 2nd leg against Steaua Bucharest on Thursday 27th April, then Everton on Saturday 30th April, Bolton (or Manchester United) on Monday 1st May, Manchester United (or Bolton) on Thursday 4th May and finally Fulham on Sunday 7th May.

Of course, if we managed to reach the cup finals there would be two more games on Wednesday 10th May, in Eindhoven, and on Saturday 13th May in Cardiff.

COME ON BORO!
