According to the Middlesbrough Evening Gazette Slovakian representatives have already visited Teesside to look at potential hotel accommodation.

Should the game be played at the Riverside it will be the first full international to be played on Teesside since 1937, when the great Stanley Matthews was part of the England team.

The game is due to be played on Wednesday 11th June, and could bring together two Boro players on opposing sides.

Szilard Nemeth became a household name when he scored for Slovakia against England back in October. Gareth Southgate could earn his 52nd cap if he is chosen ahead of Sol Campbell or Rio Ferdinand.
