Downing's view of his England Debut

The Boro winger was happy with his contribution on his international debut in England's goalless friendly against Holland, at Villa Park. Although he did admit that he found it tough against the impressive Dutch right-back Jan Kromkamp.

In a post-match interview, he told Sky Sports: "It's a very big gap, considering the pace of Premiership level, the pace is quicker and a lot more physical as well. The right-back I was up against was a physical lad and quick as well. You've got to make that adjustment but I thought I did okay. I am not just a one-cap wonder, I hope there's many more to come and hopefully I'll keep playing well for Middlesbrough."
