Newspaper reports are suggesting that Tottenham Hotspur are oce again trying to lure Stewart Downing away from Boro.

Thursday's Daily Mirror says that new Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is to table an £11million bid for the England international winger when the transfer window opens in January.

Downing has constantly been linked with a move to White Hart Lane over the past year or so even though he signed a new five-year contract at The Riverside earlier this year and has said that he his happy at Boro.
