Stewart Downing has been named in the England squad for their two forthcoming 2010 World Cup qualifiers against Croatia and Andorra.

The Boro midfielder has been named in manager Fabio Capello's 23-man squad for the qualifiers against Andorra at Barcelona's Olympic Stadium on Saturday, 6th September and Croatia in Zagreb four days later.
