Don't panic, we've been here before - McClaren

Boro slipped into the bottom three due to Ipswich's win at Derby although 3 points from our game in hand could see us move up 4 places.

The Boro boss failed to be down beat after Boro's 1-1 draw at home to Bolton. "We were, I thought, head and shoulders above Bolton in the first hour," he said. But if you can’t score goals and kill teams off you’re always likely to conceded and a siege mentality spreads throughout the team.

He went on to say "We are not scoring enough goals and we are doing something about it"

McClaren has intensified his search for a new striker after missing ou on Diego Forlan, and has not yet ruled out a another move for Dwight Yorke.

Boro's forwards would struggle to get a place in a first division side at the moment. Only Carlos Marinelli comes close but he desperately needs to find some consistency.

Boro have nothing to lose on Saturday against Man. United in the FA Cup, everyone expects Boro to get walloped so lets go out all guns blazing and make a game of it.

Play three up front and take the game to United, they do leak goals, and I wouldn't care if we got beat 3-0 as long as we gave them a fright or two.
