Juninho has indicated all along that he would prefer to stay at Boro but his omission from the squad last Saturday may just have been the deciding factor. At 31 he needs first team football, but he obviously feels that he is not in Steve McClarens plans.
There were many fans who loved him but he also had his critics during his three spells at the club. Whatever the outcome, he will always be fondly remembered on Teesside.
