Gary Pallister: “Marcus has got to get match fit first, but we’ve already seen glimpses of what Leroy can do.
“That wasted chance at Crystal Palace was disappointing when Boro had the overlap, but maybe Boro are a bit nervy in front of goal.
“They’ve got Caleb Folan to come in yet, and he’s got a bit of a pedigree, but it needs somebody to start putting the ball in the net quickly.
“And it’s not just up front where there is a problem.
“Boro have to defend a bit better. They haven’t been solid enough at the back since Robert Huth moved on.
“If you’ve got a solid backbone it gives the rest of the team more confidence.
“The bottom line is that if you are not scoring, you still have to keep a clean sheet.” |
