• Last graced the third round in January 2006, when they famously held Manchester United to a goalless draw, and then lost the third round replay 5-0 at Old Trafford.

• This is only the fourth time in the history of the club that they have reached the third round; never been beyond it.

• Registered 1-1 draws in their two games of 2011.

• Won two of the last nine Championship outings.

FA Cup form

• The 1997 runners-up fell prior to the quarter-finals for the first time in four seasons, when knocked out by Manchester City in the third round last year.

• Last beaten by a lower division club in the 2008 quarter-finals, when Cardiff eclipsed them 2-0 on their way to the final.
