The little Brazilian is now free to fly to England, although he will have to wait for his international clearance papers before he can wear the red of Boro again.

Boro chief executive Keith Lamb said "We are delighted by the decision and would like to extend our thanks to the DoE for arranging such a swift appeal hearing and the members of the appeal committee for their sympathetic hearing."

He went on to say "It is now our intention to arrange for Juninho to travel to England at the earliest opportunity.

There was more good news today when it was revealed that George Boateng has agreed terms with Boro and will sign a four-year-deal to complete his £5m move from Aston Villa. He could join up with his new team mates on Monday.

Boateng and Geremi, who put pen to paper today, could both be in line for a start against Alaves next Wednesday at the Riverside.

And finally, Boro announced that Jesper Blomqvist would return to the Riverside on Monday to discuss his future.

All-in-all a jolly good day at the office.
