Boro Turn Down Bizarre Offer!

Boro confirmed that they have declined an offer to play a series of pre-season friendly games in Australia.

It had been reported that the club had accepted an invitation to travel Down Under ahead of the 2009/10 campaign, with a game against Juninho's former side Sydney FC said to have been pencilled in.

However, although there had been some preliminary discussions, it was decided that such a trip would not be in the club's best interests.

And I bet the players are pleased about that!
