The London media came up with a classic yesterday - claiming the North-East trio (Boro, Magpies and Mackems) were going to SUE Manchester United!
Newcastle United, Middlesbrough and Sunderland have quickly rubbished reports they would take legal action against Manchester United if the champs fielded a weakened team against Hull City.

A Newcastle spokesman said: "There's no truth in it whatsoever."
Sunderland refused to comment on the story, but insisted there was no foundation to it, while a Boro spokesman said: "It's not true, it's nonsense."
