King, 28, will appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court in London this morning.The striker, who is on loan to Middlesbrough from Wigan Athletic, is alleged to have sexually assaulted and punched a 20-year old woman in a London nightclub.
King was arrested on December 10 after an incident at the Soho Revue Bar in Brewer Street, central London, on December 7.
A woman received hospital treatment for a broken nose and split lip.
King faces charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and sexual assault by touching.
The striker was on loan to Hull City at the time of the alleged incident and they turned down the chance to take him for a further six months.
