The Reserves season finished on Friday, May 5th with a 1-0 home victory over Wolves. The victory lifted Middlesbrough to 7th in the 18 team league.

There were 10 victories, six draws and twelve defeats and at the end of the season a goal difference of -1.

The season started brightly with a six game unbetaen run before
five defeats in the next six games without a win. Then a 5-0 victory over Leeds was followed by another run of six games without three points.

The next five games produced four sets of full points. Then in the run-in it was lost, won, lost, won. All in all a mixed bag with a lot of young players gaining valuable experience.
