The 25 year-old midfielder has failed to make an impression at Middlesbrough for the 2004-05 season. In his first season at the club he only had five starts and came on nine times as a substitute. He went on to start a further seven games and came on twice more as a substitute and scored two goals.
Loan periods at Stoke (3 games), Swansea (13 games) and Sheffield Wednesday (3 games) all saw Wilson return to the Riverside.
