Boro in Germany

Apart from England which team will you be supporting in Germany next year? Boro could potentially have four or five players (and one coach) involved in the finals.

Stewart Downing - England

The Boro winger has set himself a target to be fit for the New Year, but beyond that he will be hoping that he is part of Sven Goran Eriksson's squad when it is announced next year.

World Cup chances: 5/10

Mark Schwarzer - Australia

Boro's No.1 has also been the Socceroos No.1 for a number of years and will be on the plane to Germany barring Injury.

World Cup chances: 10/10

Mark Viduka - Australia

Viduka has captained the Socceroos recently when he has started but the big worry is his fitness, after niggling injuries have caused him to miss games.
World Cup chances: 9/10

George Boateng - Netherlands

Boateng has been included in the last two Dutch squads, winning his 3rd cap in the last game against Italy. If he can keep up his good form for Boro there is no reason why he shouldn't make the cut.
World Cup chances: 6/10

Gaizka Mendieta - Spain

Mendieta has been in the international wilderness for three years but if he keeps performing as he has of late he could just get a surprise call-up.
World Cup chances: 2/10

Steve McClaren - England

Eriksson's right hand man will be making the trip to his second World Cup finals. At least with McClaren's influence, Boro fans can imagine that they are watching Boro in the finals!
World Cup chances: 10/10

COME ON ENGLAND!
