Boro in for Keane?

Sources close to Leeds suggest that Boro have submitted a written bid for the former Coventry man, who turned down Sunderland earlier this summer saying that he wanted to fight for his place at Elland Road. But it is believed that El Tel is still willing to let the frontman go, with Spurs and sunderland also still interested in him.

Boro's major target still remains Juninho, and Keith Lamb will meet with his father and Athletico officials in Madrid tomorrow hoping to make some progress with the deal. If however this fails then Boro may well move for the Leeds striker, valued between £8-10 million.

Another deal which could still go ahead is that involving George Boateng. Villa are now believed to have lowered the price-tag for the Dutchmans services and would accept a bid over £5 million.
