Ugo Ehiogu and Jonathan Greening will be monitored after picking up knocks in Saturday's defeat by Arsenal, but are expected to be fit, Cameroon international Geremi is definitely out.

The Boro boss will hope for a swift return to form from his team after their eight match unbeaten run came to an end at the hands of the title chasing Gunners, but West Ham's desperate need for points at the foot of the table will ensure a tough game.

The Hammers are now six points off safety and must beat Boro to have any hope at all of survival. Les Ferdinand, Lee Bowyer and Michael Carrick could all return to the side as boss Glenn Roeder looks to shake things up after a disappointing 1 - 0 defeat at Bolton on Saturday.
