Sean St Ledger: “I know the gap is widening and people are looking at the play-offs, but the top two has to be the target still.
“The play-offs can be very, very difficult.
“You look at Sheffield United last season. They finished third but they froze in the play-off final. It can happen to any team.
“Few people would have expected Burnley to reach the Premier League last season, so it shows the play-offs can be a bit of a lottery.
“If we have to go into them then so be it, but at this stage we want to try to avoid them.
“As long as the top two is within reach that has to be the target.”
