Boksic fit for Sunday

It has been touch and go all week whether the Croatian could shake off a niggling groin injury, which he picked up against Tottenham last month.

Boksic could have probably played last week against aston Villa but I think the risk was too great, his appearance this week will allow Boro boss Steve McClaren to work his options around Boksic.

Dean Windass will be favourite to partner Boksic, although Szilard Nemeth has not been ruled out completely, he is back in training but lacking match fitness and will probably have to settle for a place on the bench, at best.

Allan Johnston, Phil Stamp and Michael Debeve will contest Paul Ince's vacancy, with Johnston being favourite after starting last week. Stampy could be an option if McClaren wants a bit more bite in the midfield.

Carlos Marinelli will probably start on the bench and could be useful if Boro need to change the game late on.

Jonathan Greening has been added to the doubtful list with a calf strain.
