Aussie's stunned

The Socceroos had an unbelievable chance of reaching the last eight of the World Cup against the ten men of Italy but were cruelly denied by a very dubious penalty in the last ten seconds of added time.

Schwarzer kept the Aussies in the game with two saves inside the first 15 minutes, but they failed to create chances and win the game, even after Marco Materazzi's was sent off early in the second half.

The game was heading for extra time when Fabio Grosso 'tumbled' over Lucas Neill and the Spanish referee bought it and bravely awarded a penalty.
Italian pin-up Francesco Totti gave Schwarzer no chance with the last kick of the game.
