Reports suggest that Boro are on the verge of signing Fabio Rochemback from Sporting Lisbon. Having had a work permit granted on appeal Boro are pushing ahead to clinch the deal before tonights midnight deadline. The Brazilian is on loan in Portugal from Barcelona.

Boro still have to confirm that Michael Reiziger has joined PSV Eindhoven, with Abel Xavier being given a one year contract as a replacement.
