Alves Heading To Stadium Of Light?

Brazilian striker Alfonso Alves could make a summer move to Benfica's Stadium of Light if reports in Portugal are to be believed.
The former Heerenveen hitman moved to Middlesbrough in January 2007 for £12.8m but has struggled to live up to his goalscoring reputation, finding the Premiership tougher than the Dutch league.
The 28-year-old has scored only 4 goals in 20 Premier League appearances this term compared to the incredible 45 goals in 39 appearances in his two year stint in Holland.
According to news publication Record, the striker has now been identified by Quique Flores as the man to lead Benfica's attacking line and a bid could be made at the end of the season.
