Allan Johnston gets new club

Kilmarnock have signed the much travelled Glasgow born, who has had spells at Sunderland, Birmingham, Bolton and Rangers before arriving at the Riverside at start of the 2001/02 season.

He started 16 games for the Boro and came on as a substitute five times, scoring just one goal. His Riverside days were nearly over!

In the 2002/03 campaign he played only twice for Middlesbrough, both games in the League Cup. He then went to Sheffield Wednesday on loan and scored 2 goals from 12 appearances.

The 30-year-old who cost Boro £600,000 failed to play any games last term was released on a free transfer.
