Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan has revealed striker Jeremie Aliadiere is likely to leave the club when his contract runs out this summer.Aliadiere has had an injury-affected three years on Teesside, and Strachan admitted the 27-year-old has decided against talks to extend his stay.
Strachan told BBC Tees: "He's not taken up the option.
"Anyone who's out of contract, we want to speak to them. Anyone who wants to move on then that's up to them."
Aliadiere joined Middlesbrough from Premier League side Arsenal in June 2007 for £2m, having had loan spells at Celtic, Wolves and West Ham during his time at the Gunners.
Since then the French forward has made 86 appearances for the Teessiders, scoring 12 goals but has struggled with a string of injuries, including knee ligament, toe and hamstring problems during his three-year stay.
Strachan has confirmed he will speak to defenders Emanuel Pogatetz, Chris Riggott and Jonathan Grounds with a view to extending their future at the Riverside beyond this season.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough have parted company with coaches Stephen Pears, Martin Scott and Colin Cooper following the completion of the Championship season.
The trio were part of former boss Gareth Southgate's line-up, and Strachan believes he needed to reshuffle his coaching team to move the club forward.
"We were overstaffed. I like to coach and we had too many people to do the work. It was uncomfortable for people," Strachan added.
"I'm not daft. I've looked at bringing in extra help but we had too many and I had to move it about a bit.
"I will look at bringing people in to help us but it will not be as many."
