He scored his first goal for the club in the win at Stockport on Sunday, and helped put the club back on the promotion track.

Malcolm Christie: "It's been a hard time for me, and there were times when I considered quitting football. I'm not going to shy away from that because I was out for long, long periods.

"I've had more than a year without a contract and that's a hard thing, both mentally and financially. You're out of pay for a year and that's not an easy thing to cope with.

"But I'm a footballer and I'm not really good at doing anything else. It's the only thing I know and I've had fantastic support from Leeds."

Grayson: "If we can keep Malcolm fit, we'll have a real player on our hands."
