Ayresome Park was opened in 1903 on a site close to where Middlesbrough Ironopolis had once played, it was to be Boro's home for 92 years.

The Riverside Stadium opened on 26th August 1995, it was the largest new football stadium to be built since the war and the first to comply with the Taylor Report.
